Approximately 140 kms from Guwahati in Gwalpada district there is a mountain named Surya. Many engraved Jain idols are being worshiped as their Gods/Godesses by many Communities. In the year 1975 standing Idols of Adinath and Padmaprabhu came to light, which were carved into the hill. Again in the year 1994 another very old idol of Shri Suparshavnath Teerthankar was found.
