One of the ancient and most popular jain temples in Tamilnadu; the 4 ft tall mool  nayak sculpture in  round, is devoid  of  any  other  attributes  (  W ithout  Ashtamaha Prathikaryas like ashoka tree, trichatra etc..) which indicates the antiquity; the temple has a   sculpture of 24 Thirthankaras carved  in  a  single  stone;  Number  of  metal  idols  of Thirthankaras, attendant deities are present; Most of the Tamil Jains consider it as their family deity
