One of the ancient jaina villages ; in the distant past this 16th century CE temple was used by three neighboring villages; three learned persons from this village became the Head of The Kholhapur Digmber Jain Mutt ; it has an ancient statue of Adhinatha which is one of the biggest in Tamilnadu; there are sevarel metal idols; the manasthamaba is an attractive feature.
