In ancient times, this place was known as Madhumati. This place is nearly 2000 years old. Inscription of the Brahmi Script also shows its antiquity. The ancient and beautiful Mulnayak Bhagwan Padmaprabhu was formally reinstalled by Acharyadev Buddhisagatsurisvarji in the year 1974 of the vikram era. Thousands of pilgrims with faith and devotion, come here to fulfil their desires. Every year, on the fourteenth day of the month Aaso, ceremony of charitable offering is celebrated in the Jain way in the temple of Ghantakarna Mahavir. The annual function is also celebrated.
