Payashetti and Jayshetti treated the ill 'Begam' of then 'Badshah' of Bijapur. Impressed with the miracle, the King allowed construction of Jain Temples. Both saw in dream an idol and the area was dug upon to find a broken idol (9 pieces) of Lord Parshwanth. It was burried back again at the same place. Few days later both again saw the same idol in dream. Again the area was dug upon to find the same idol, this time restored back. This idol is now known as Navkhand Parshwanath and available for worship. With this miracle, the area got developed and today has a Jain gurukul which is 1 km from the village Tavandi. There are other temples and a small hill with 90 steps.
