Historical Importance:
Mudbidri is popularly known as Jain Kashi. There are very beautiful and attarctive idols in its 18 temples. It has 29 idols of crystal (Sphatik). 35 idols of dimaonds, emeralds etc. The monestry has also got idols of ancient gems. Temple of 1000 pillars, Siddhanta darshan and Dhawaltray (Dhavla, Jaidhavla, Mahadhavla) and collection of scriptures are the main achievements of Jain monestry.
Annual fest:
Rathotsav is held on Mahaveer Jayanti.
