Historical Importance:
More than 1000 years back in 981 AD Mahamatya Chamundraiji with Acharya Shri Nemichand Siddhanta Chakraborty had installed Idol of Bhagwan Bahubali at Indragiri Mountain. The idol is 18 meters high (58 feet), northfacing, in standing meditative (Khadgasan) posture, worlds unique, admirable and is a huge miraculous Idol. Mahamastakabhishek of this miraculous idol is performed after every 12 years. Shrwanbelogola is the main Jain place of piligrimage and tourist spot of Jains in South India.
