Venur is a holy place of Jains in south India. In 1604 AD an Idol of 35 feet of Bhagwan Bahubali was installed here. Every year on phalgun poornima rathyatra and festival is organised. Rice, coconut, betelnuts (supari) and cashew are main harvest here.
