Historical Importance:
The tirth is 1500 years old. During Moughal era the traitors tried to damage the idol of Bhagwan Ajitnath, but they all got chained (bandh gaye) miraculously, and due to this incident the place got famous with the name Bandhaji (chained). The idol of Chief Idol Bhagwan Ajitnathji is miraculous. In 1953 Acharya Shri Mahaveerkirtiji poured the Jalabhishek - the sacred water of Anointment of the idol in a dry well and miraculously the well was filled with water.
