There are many ancient names of this city Thirpur, Thiradi, Tharadara, Thirapadra etc. According to the history, that a very large and high temple with 52 idols was built here in the year 1444 of the vikram era. Maharaja Kumarpal built here a place named ‘Kumar Vihar’. Once a time this was a very large city and thousands of Shavakas lived here. This tirth is very ancient and beautiful.
